Dean Cavanagh, screenwriter, and music producer, under the name Culture Is No Friend of Mine, writes about the UK roots of Acid House. A very cool example of a DIY scene in the 80’s that would launch an international phenomenon. Dean was there from the start, and the way he connects the different locations, as well as the different personalities and impulses that propelled the scene forward is interesting.
